The Trinity Swim Team outdid itself once again at the 11th Annual GCISD Pentathlon held at Lewisville Eastside Aquatics Center Sept. 29.
Girls Captain Katrina Tobias, junior, Boys Captain Jackson Adcox, senior, and newcomer Philip Duong, freshman, finished Top 5 in their respective age groups out of more than 450 swimmers who competed. Duong also earned his varsity letter Saturday. Junior Blake Painter earned a Top 10 finish as well. Tobias finished 12 or 245 overall for the girls and Adcox finished 11 of 2017 overall for the boys.
In addition, the team set 91 lifetime best times at the five event competition. Swimmers competed in the 50 Butterfly, 50 Backstroke, 50 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle and 100 Individual Medley events recording individual times. Overall scores were calculated by combining times for a total overall score.
Up next is the Trinity Lap-A-Thon fundraiser where swimmers will attempt to swim up to 200 laps in only 2 hours at their home natatorium at TCC Northeast, Oct. 6 at 11am.
