Euless Trinity brings home gold
After placing 21st just one season prior, the Euless Trinity girls brought home the 6A girls team championship with 88 points, slipping past Katy Tompkins, which scored 75.

Carlie Allred took third in the 6A 102-pound class with a pinfall victory over League City Clear Springs Magdaleno.

Sydney Harper took third in the 6A 119-pound division with a pinfall win over San Marcos’ Gianna Moreno, who had been unbeaten all season before Saturday.

Haley Wilcox rounded out the group with a pinfall triumph over El Paso Montwood’s Symphanie Sampson to take third in the 6A 165-pound division.

Despite not having a single wrestler qualify for the state championship matches, the Trojans took advantage of three third-place finishes to score crucial points and claim the state title.
